2008 ISEA Scholarship winners
The ISEA has awarded two $2,500 scholarships to children of ISEA members who are studying to become teachers. This year's winners are:
Aubree Rhoades, a junior majoring in elementary education at Ashford University in Clinton. She is the daughter of Barbara Rhoades who is a member of the Clinton Education Association.
Rebecca Kunde, a senior majoring in elementary education at the University of Northern Iowa. She is the daughter of Cynthia Kunde who is a member of the Iowa City Education Association.
The winners will be honored in local ceremonies this spring. In order to be eligible for the ISEA scholarship, applicants must be at least a junior, be enrolled in a teacher preparation program, and be a member of an NEA affiliate student program.
The scholarships are funded by voluntary contributions made by ISEA members. The deadline for applications for next year's scholarships is Jan. 15, 2009. Click here for details and an application form.
