At the Capitol
Virtually every decision that affects education is made in the political arena. That's why the ISEA employs lobbyists who work year-round to ensure that the voices of students and educators are heard. We're there when you can't be, monitoring the state agencies that set the rules and regulations and and keeping tabs on how new laws affect what happens in your classroom.
But in order to be even more effective, we work to elect candidates at all levels who are willing to do more than just talk about education. Members' voluntary contributions to our political action arm, ISEA-PAC, gives us the strength and influence we need to make a difference for students and public education in Iowa.
