Meet the chair

My name is Toni Graham. I am your ESP Chairperson for the ESP Standing Committee and your ISEA Executive Board representative. I live in Shenandoah which is in the southwest corner of our great state.   I was instrumental in helping organize our local and have been an active member since its beginning.

I am very excited about the things going on at ISEA for the Iowa ESPs. Each of us should be working on building stronger members and locals, encouraging PAC support, political action, and working on the Living wage campaign. These are just a few things we will be looking at and working on over the next several months.

We hope to have many resources available to the ESPs on this web site as the web pages develop.  Please check back often and see what is going on across our state.  If you would like to contact me at any time, please feel free to email me at toni4esps@mchsi.com I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Education Support Professionals (ESP)

Education Support Professional (ESP) members are a key member of Iowa's public education team. They include school secretaries, paraprofessionals, custodial staff, food service workers, and bus drivers. Without ESP members, kids wouldn't get extra help and attention, the bell wouldn't ring, the busses wouldn't run, and the schools wouldn't be safe and clean. In addition to the support and representation offered by the ISEA, ESP members are also part of the 3.2 million member  National Education Association .

Living wage campaign contest
Education Support Professionals (ESP) across Iowa are being called on to create a theme for a Living Wage campaign. Think of a catchy phrase that can be used to promote the living wage campaign and submit it to your ESP representative from your UniServ unit before October 14th.
Learn to earn a living wage at the ISEA ESP Fall Conference
ISEA, with the help of NEA funding, will pay the registration fee for two members from each ESP local association to attend the annual ESP Fall Conference, November 7-8 at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Des Moines Northwest at 4800 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines. The keynote address will be Winning a Living
AASPA Leon Bradley Scholarship
The American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA) has developed a new scholarship to help minority paraprofessional career changers in their final year of teacher preparation.
