Bargaining and Research
ISEA's local association negotiating teams are among the most aggressive and best prepared in the nation thanks to the training and support provided by our Bargaining and Research departments. As a result, educators have made tremendous strides toward improving their economic security as well as their working conditions.
For example, we have won contract provisions which clearly spell out the procedures to be followed in the areas of job transfer, staff reduction, extra duty pay, leaves, and holiday schedules. And we have outlined grievance procedures to settle contract disputes that might arise.
Our efforts at the local bargaining table are bolstered by the comprehensive training and research data we provide to members. ISEA's research staff is constantly compiling data to give our teams the edge at the bargaining table.
